Lavender Fields Forever

I painted this in the summer with the lavender fields in full bloom at Los Poblanos Ranch in the Rio Grande valley here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  It was a bright sunny morning and the sun was rising over the Sandia mountains and sunlight shining on the lavender fields as the harvester's were picking the fragrant lavender shoots and bundling them for sale in their shop on the farm.

This painting will be in the Outdoor Painters Society Associate Members Show & Sale in Corsicana, Texas in late July and August.
